Rhodesia National Parks and Wildlife
While not usually considered a security force, the Park Rangers did on occassion engage terrorists. As many of the parks in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) are located on border areas
they did have occassion to engage terrorists who were crossing from Zambia and Mozambique. Also, as Game Rangers were good trackers their services were sometimes used by the
Army or Police if their skills were needed.
An excellent overview this service and its role...thank you Edward Ostrosky...

brief overview by Edward Ostrosky, previously senior ranger with NPWLM, and member of VTU 1976-1979
I do not have much of the Parks Board so am always looking for anything related to them from its earliest days to today. So please contact me if you have anything you
would care to sell.
