DC Alex Bundock passed away during the morning of the 21st October 2013 due to bone marrow cancer. Alex joined Intaf on 1st February 1956 and was the commander of the Training Depot
at Chikurubi until he was transferred. He had been struggling to fight cancer for some time. Alex was a man of men and will not be forgotten.
Alex was one of the first Intaf men to have successfully completed the Army officers course and went on to establish the Intaf Training Depot at Chikurubi.
He had great foresight and understanding of the paramilitary role Intaf was required to play during the war. He provided great leadership, and ensured that
Intaf personnel were trained as best possible under trying circumstances.
